'Don't enforce it and incite us': Raj Thackeray's MNS against enforcement of Hindi asserting 'it is not their mother tongue'

The draft of New Education Policy prepared by the Kasturirangan Committee was released on Friday, which spoke of the continuation of three-language formula in the schools.

Joining ranks with recent protests over three langu formula proposed in draft National Education Policy 2019, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Sunday spoke against enforcement of Hindi asserting that it is t ir mor tongue.

On Friday, a huge controversy broke out in Tamil Nu over three langu formula with political parties warning a langu war over "attempts" to impose Hindi, even as Centre stepped in to say that re was intention to impose any langu on anyone.

However, as controversy swballed, Centre dismissed apprehensions on issue and said re was move to impose any langu on anyone.

"Only a report has been submitted on new education policy. Government has t taken any decision on it. It has t even considered it and refore misunderstanding that government has decided on new education policy is t true," Information and Brocasting Minister Prakash Javekar told media.

"After we will get public feedback, n only it will come up before government. More importantly, Modi government has always promoted all Indian langus and refore re is case of or intention of imposing any langu on anybody. We want to promote all Indian langus," he said.
