Fadnavis advises Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik to honour ED summons & clarify his position
On Wednesday, former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis took a dig at Shiv Sena legislator Pratap Sarnaik for skipping the Enforcement Directorate summons.

Stressing that ED takes action only on basis of evidence, BJP leer opined that it would have been appropriate for Ovala-Majiwa MLA to appear before investigative ncy and clear his position on allegations against him.
While Sarnaik sought more time to appear before ED citing that he has been quarantined, Fnavis cast doubts on this explanation. To buttress his point, BJP leer highlighted that Sena MLA h met Sanjay Raut at Saamana office and given interviews to media on Tuesday. reafter, Fnavis ded that ED shall take appropriate action in case.

Ex-Maharashtra CM Devendra Fnavis remarked, "w matter is between ED and Pratap Sarnaik. ncy is doing its job. y will work on basis of evidence which y have. Actually, it would have been more appropriate if he would have appeared before ncy. And he should have me his stand clear. But it is true that he went to Saamana office and gave interviews. However, he is t presenting himself before ED. ncy will take action as it deems fit."

ED conducts raids
On Tuesday morning, ED carried out searches at offices and residential premises associated with Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik and a private security firm in connection with a money-laundering investigation. In case registered under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 10 locations in Mumbai and Thane were raided. As per sources, ncy seized electronic evidence including a computer. Subsequently, Sarnaik's son Vihang was taken to ED office in Mumbai and interrogated for nearly five hours.
Sources ded that Vihang Sarnaik was interrogated regarding alleged transactions from foreign locations and money trail. Terming raids as "dirty politics", Sena MP Sanjay Raut accused BJP of misusing investigative ncies. He asserted that Maha Vikas Aghi government will remain in power for next 25 years. NCP supremo Shar Pawar slammed Centre for seeking to demoralise ruling alliance. However, Congress leer Sanjay Nirupam caused some embarrassment for state government as he alleged that some Shiv Sena leers have been involved in corruption.
