Goa CM holds talks with Norwegian firms for investment in state

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday held discussions with Norwegian companies on investment opportunities in the state, a release said.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday held discussions with rwegian companies on investment opportunities in state, a release said.

Chief Minister was amongst participants for discussion which was organised in association with rwegian Business association India (NBAI).

Goa government has formed a special purpose vehicle to attract investment into state. interaction was held through online mode in which 57 representatives and officials from rway took part.

Talking to representatives, Sawant emphasised that government is focused on making system transparent and bringing ease in doing business in State.

He furr said that government wants to create a path to foster invation and revamp investment policy to incorporate new developments in investment climate.

Defence PSU Goa Shipyard Limited also participated in programme. Goa Shipyard CMD Cmdr B B Nagpal expressed willingness to work with rwegian companies and discussed different opportunities for joint cooperation.

From rway Ambassor to India Hans Jacob Frydenlund expressed keen interest to work with Goan companies. Consul General of rway Arne Jan Fllo informed participants that y are willing to work in five major sectors mainly ship building, waste manment, fisheries, education and port development.

Kristine Anvik Leach, Chairwoman- NBAI assured members of all support in facilitating investment in state.
