In light of Maratha reservation protests, while Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said he backs notion of reservation as mentioned in Indian Constitution, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Pras Yav reiterated his old jibe against RSS and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). When asked to respond to Bhagwat’s comments on issue of reservation on Thursday, Lalu Yav accused RSS chief of blindly following Golwalker’s philosophy. Golwalkar was second RSS chief, and his speeches have been compiled in Bunch of Thoughts.
Bhagwat, on Wednesday, extended support to provision of reservation defined in Constitution of India. Upon being asked about his views on Bhagwat's comments, Yav said that RSS and BJP leers keep repeating what y have learnt in Bunch of Thoughts. RJD supremo, claiming that Bhagwat is opposed to idea of reservation, said, “Yes, y are opposing it (reservation). What Golwalkar wrote in Bunch of Thoughts is what is being done by Modi and Mohan Bhagwat. Bunch of Thoughts speaks against reservation, y said it here too.”

Lalu Yav has time and again mounted same attack on RSS as well as ruling dispensation, accusing m of being anti-reservation. During a political garing in 2015, when RJD fought Bihar assembly elections as a part of Mahagathbandhan alliance, Lalu Yav h waved Bunch of Thoughts at crowd. Yav h n stressed that book vocated that reservation must be provided only on an economic basis.
In current context, however, RSS chief endorsed reservation regarding ongoing Maratha agitation in Maharashtra. "We kept our own fellow human beings behind in social system. We did not care for m, which continued for almost 2,000 years. Until we provide m equality, some special remedies have to be done. Reservations are one of m. Reservations should continue till re is such discrimination. Sangh gives complete support to reservations provided in Constitution,” Bhagwat said during an event in Maharashtra.

After G20 dinner invite referred to president as ‘President of Bharat’ inste of customary ‘President of India’, Yav said that BJP is "nervous" about I.N.D.I.A bloc and is attempting to instigate an issue. "We have formed I.N.D.I.A alliance. So BJP is nervous. y are saying something or or...," Lalu Yav said while speaking to media in Patna.
