Government holds all-party meeting ahead of Budget Session, Shiv Sena MPs give it a miss

Ahead of the Budget Session, which begins on February 1, an all-party meeting called by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi was held on Thursday.

Ahe of Budget Session, which begins on Friday, an all-party meeting called by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralh Joshi was held on Thursday in Parliament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended meeting along with or Union Ministers, namely, Rajnath Singh, Thawar Chand Gehlot, Arjun Meghwal, V Muraleedharan, and ors.

Samajwi Party MP Ram Gopal Yav was also present in meet. BJD's Prasanna Acharya, NCP MP Supriya Sule, Congress MP hir Ranjan Chowdhury, Congress Rajya Sabha MPs Anand Sharma and Ghulam Nabi Az, RJD leer Maj Jha, and many or MPs were present in meeting. MP from Shiv Sena arrived for all-party meeting.

'A structured debate should take place on every issue'

session comes amid nationwide protests against government's citizenship measures, including amended citizenship law, with opposition parties putting up a united front against Narendra Modi dispensation. Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralh Joshi after all-party meeting said, " government is rey and Prime Minister has said that t just a debate but a structured debate should take place on every issue."

Ghulam Nabi Az targets Centre

dressing media after meeting, Ghulam Nabi Az said, "Government is focussed only on getting Bills passed but we also drew ir attention towards sinking ecomy, rising unemployment and Kashmir. We told m Farooq Abdullah be released so that he can attend Parliament and ors should be released too."

He ded, " government is least bored about people protesting on streets over CAA-NRC. This shows ir arrogance. y are t bored about farmers too. opposition wants that se issues be discussed too and government should be sensitive about it."  Union Budget will be presented on February 1.
