Amid MP politcal crisis, Haryana Min Anil Vij demands abrogation of anti-defection law
Amid MP political crisis Haryana Min Anil Vij on Wednesday said that anti-defection law should be abrogated as it is against the basic principle of democracy.

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said that anti-Defection law should be abrogated as it is against basic principles of democracy. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "Anti Defection Law should be abrogated. MLAs should be given free hand to express ir choice. Anti Defection law is against basic Principle of Democracy."
His remarks come in backdrop of political tussle that is underway in Mhya Presh since resignation of Jyorityitya Scindia along with 22 MLAs. resignation of se MLAs has plunged Kamal Nath government into a crisis.

'I personally spoke to 5 MLAs'
Senior Congress leer Digvijaya Singh was placed under preventive arrest in Bengaluru on Wednesday after he tried to visit a hotel where several rebel party MLAs are staying. He sat on a dharna near Rama hotel when police denied him permission to visit. He was later held.
Digvijaya Singh told news ncy ANI, "We were expecting m to come back, but when we saw y are being held back, messs came from ir families... I personally spoke to 5 MLAs, y said y're captive, phones snatched away, re is police in front of every room. y are being followed 24/7."

Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar said, " BJP government in state is misusing power. We have our own political strategy, we kw how to handle situation. He's t alone here. I'm here. I kw how to support him. But I don't want to create a law and order situation in Karnataka."

Political crisis in Mhya Presh
Jyotiritya Scindia’s exit from Congress party on March 10 was followed by 22 Mhya Presh Congress MLAs tendering ir resignations. Assembly Speaker NP Prajapati has accepted resignation of 6 MLAs but Congress is making all possible attempts to woo back some of rebel MLAs as stability of its government is in serious threat. On March 11, Scindia officially joined BJP in presence of party president JP Nda and was minated as party's Rajya Sabha candidate.
