India has a history of 'putting off' problems, take clue from China, says EAM Jaishankar 

Speaking at an event, S Jaishankar referred to the Chinese system as a 'problem solver' while he stated that the Indian instinct is to home in on a solution

Union Minister of External Affairs, S Jaishankar on Monday drew comparisons between India and China in terms of problems faced by both countries and rise of  both countries in global world. Union Minister referred to Chinese system as a 'problem solver' while he stated that Indian instinct is to home in on a solution. He ded that India has accumulated a legacy of problems. 

'This should be our learning from China'

Speaking at an event on Mondaym, Jaishankar elaborated on problems faced by India and said, "Citizenship issue started 40-50 years ago. Article 370 was temporary, yet it took 70 years. Look at Ayodhya land dispute, it lasted 150 years. We tend to put it off. Unless society has a mindset to resolve, we cant go ahe. This should be our learning from China. India and China rising differentially but at close proximity. We need to have leers level of engments"

Furrmore, Jaishankar also said, "We should look at China story systemically. This China will impact world more and it is important to understand thinking of this China. It is important re is a leer to leer understanding of each or's thinking."

' country has been victim of terrorism as we have been'

External Affairs Minister also reflected upon India's policy of counter-terrorism and how country has been a victim of terrorism since long. He said, " country has been a victim of terrorism as we have been, that is why we should never allow terrorism to be rmalised. We should develop our narratives, our core interests, and make ourself more attractive. Territorial integrity is our core interest. If re is violation of our territorial integrity n it cant be considered as rmal."
