Jagan Mohan Reddy goes on scheme renaming spree within 2 weeks of becoming AP CM, modifies predecessor Naidu's policies
In an unprecedented move, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday reviewed and renamed various schemes and policies launched by the previous government in the state under former CM and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu.

Issuing a government order in matter, newly-appointed YSRCP government renamed 'NTR Vaidya Seva' as 'YSR Arogyasri'. Late former Andhra Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy launched 'Arogyasri' scheme, which was later changed to 'NTR Vaidya Seva' during TDP government in state.

Furrmore, with 'NTR Bharosa' welfare pensions scheme being renamed as 'YSR Aasara', mid-day meal scheme has been also renamed as 'YSR Akshaya Patra' by Jagan Reddy government.
It has also been anunced by Andhra Presh government that 'Annata Sukhibhava', a scheme that was anunced by TDP government before elections in state, has been cancelled, introducing a new scheme called 'YSR Rytu Bharosa', aiming at providing input subsidy to farmers, with central component.
state government also introduced 'Rajanna Bi Baata' scheme on lines of 'Bikosta' scheme of previous government. According to officials, names of or schemes like 'Chandranna Bima' are also likely to see a change in coming days.

Earlier in June, Jagan Reddy inducted 5 deputy chief minister and 25 new ministers in his cabinet, calling Andhra assembly cabinet "socially-inclusive".
In line with his electoral promise, Jaganmohan Reddy gave Cabinet berths to seven legislators from backward classes, five from Scheduled Castes, one each from Scheduled Tribes and Muslims, and four each from Kapu and Reddy communities. Kamma community, which dominated previous Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet, got just one berth. Kshatriya and Vysya communities also got one berth each.
