Congress senior leer Jairam Ramesh on Thursday reacted to party's loss in Delhi Assembly election. Ramesh termed Congress' defeat as an 'unmitigated disaster like Coronavirus.' He also mentioned that BJP utilised Shaheen Bagh's anti-CAA protest to "polarise" votes in Delhi.
Citing Delhi Assembly election results Ramesh said, " BJP utilised Shaheen Bagh's anti-CAA protest to polarise votes. In short run, BJP has t won but result is a disaster for Congress party also. It is an unmitigated disaster like coronavirus for Congress."

Speaking on mirity communalism, he said, "We have to be very clear. We should t be pandering to any religious sentiment of anybody and that is real secularism. Real secularism is fighting communalism of all s with aggression."
"We have to be bold and aggressive against all forms of communalism. Unfortunately in public, propaganda is that Congress is soft on mirity communalism. It is a reality. We have to dress this issue. We cant live in a make-believe world. We should wake up," he ded.

Delhi assembly polls crisis
Furr voicing his concern over Congress debacle in Delhi assembly polls and crisis it is facing in some states like Bihar and Uttar Presh, senior Congress leer Jairam Ramesh has suggested that party "ruthlessly" reinvent itself or face prospect of becoming irrelevant. Senior leer Veerappa Moily has called for a "surgical" action to revive party in context of Delhi election drubbing.

Ramesh said, "Congress leers have to reinvent mselves. Congress party has to reinvent itself if it has to be relevant. Orwise, we are staring at irrelevance. Our arrogance has to go, even after six years out of power sometimes, some of us behave as if we are still ministers. substance and style of our leership have to change. We are virtually n-existent in Bihar, We are almost extinct in UP but we are strong in Rajasthan, Mhya Presh, and Chhattisgarh. Haryana we have come back."
Delhi assembly elections result
Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Ami Party swept Delhi assembly polls with 62 seats, five less than in 2015, as per final results anunced by Election Commission on Tuesday night. While BJP secured victory in remaining eight constituencies in 70-seat Delhi assembly, up from three in 2015, Congress could t open its account for second time in Delhi. victory of AAP ensured a hat-trick for Arvind Kejriwal in office of Delhi Chief Minister.
