" Janata Dal (S), which is a party of Kannigas with self-esteem, will never think of political merger. party, which is a strong voice of people, will never display such stupidity. At most we may extend issue-based support to BJP if need be in coming days in public interest. re is importance for any imaginary reports on a political merger," tweeted Kumaraswamy.
" Congress high command, which h ridiculed us as BJP’s B team before Assembly polls, actually came to our door steps after polls and extended an invitation to form a coalition government with it," he ded saying that his party would have never formed government with Congress if y were BJP's B team. two parties h joined hands to form government in Karnataka after party mand to get a clear victory in 2018 assembly polls.

"People trust JD (S) which took up welfare measures like a waiver of farm loans and Bavara Bandhu besides conducting itself as per aspirations of former prime minister H. D. Deve Gowda kwn for disciplined ministration. I want to clarify that for such a party like JD (S), situation of committing suicide by merging itself with or party has t come. I don't foresee such a situation gripping us in future too," he ded.
JD(S) Chief's clarifications come after his party faced criticism from Congress for supporting BJP's Karnataka Land Reforms (Second Amendment) Bill, 2020 in Legislative Council. While bill was initially opposed by both Congress and JD(S), HD Dewe Gowda-led party extended support to legislation in Legislative Council drawing Congress party's irk.
