After penning a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi opposing COVID-19 national lockdown, Kamal Haasan once again took on government post chaotic scenes at Mumbai’s Bandra on Tuesday. Makkal Needhi Maiam Chief seemed to take a dig at PM Modi, for urging citizens to gar at balconies and windows, in solidarity gestures against COVID-19, and used term ‘balcony government.’ veteran actor also urged ‘balcony people’ to take a ‘long and hard look’ at ground.

Haasan took to Twitter on Tuesday, hours after fracas at Bandra railway station. Scores of people had gared, allegedly believing news of trains that’ll allow m to head back to ir hometowns, dismissing importance of social distancing to curb COVID-19. Indian 2 star wrote that migrant crisis was a ‘time bomb’ that must be ‘defused’ before it became a 'bigger crisis than Corona.' 

65-year-old added that ‘balcony government’ must keep ir eyes on what's happening on ground.

When India was in 21-day lockdown, and before extension was anunced,  Kamal Haasan had written an open letter to PM, questioning lockdown, comparing it to demonetisation, while highlighting trouble for ecomically weaker section.  veteran had also questioned handling of COVID-19 by government, lighting of diyas as a solidarity gesture, and anuncing lockdown only four hours before it kicked in.
