Congress leer Kapil Sibal on January 6, demanded resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah and JNU vice-chancellor M Jagesh Kumar over brutal campus violence unleashed on eve of January 5. Sibal said entire incident was a conspiracy led by VC and ABVP students.
Speaking to media Sibal said, "Who gave masked men permission to enter inside campus? If y entered, n what did VC do? Why did VC t ask cops to come and what was Home Minister doing? probe will take 6 months, n we kw what will happen. Such an incident has never happened. This is conspiracy of VC and ABVP.

VC should be dismissed and Home Minster must resign but this will never happen. People should w kw what is nda of se parties. Did We instigate Jamia? blame game is a habit of Prime Minister and Home Minister. Why is PM silent on dam of property in yesterday's incident?" he ded.

Taking to microblogging site Sibal condemned violence done on students. Taunting BJP's slogan he termed incident as 'Achhe Din' with collaboration of Delhi police.

JNUSU blames VC
JNU Students Union (JNUSU) and teachers' community blamed JNU vice-chancellor, M Jagesh Kumar for brutal campus violence unleashed on Sunday night. Calling it an attempt to "terrorise students" teachers' community demanded an immediate ousting of JNU VC.
"This Vice-Chancellor is a cowardly Vice-Chancellor who introduces illegal policies through backdoor, runs away from questions of students or teachers and n manufactures a situation to demonize JNU," said a statement from JNUSU.

"For nearly seventy days w, students of JNU have been fighting a courous battle to save ir university from clutches of privatisation and greed. VC is amant that by sending a mess that a fee hike has happened in JNU, he can prove that accessible education is t possible," it ded.

JNU violence
Violence broke out at Jawaharlal Nehru University on Sunday night as masked men armed with sticks and rods attacked students and teachers and damd property on campus, prompting ministration to call in police which conducted a flag march. At least 28 people, including JNU Students' Union president Aishe Ghosh, were injured as chaos reigned on campus for nearly two hours.
Eyewitnesses alleged attackers entered premises when a meeting was being held by JNU Teachers' Association on issue of violence on campus and assaulted students and professors. y also barged into three hostels. Video foot aired by some TV channels showed a group of men, who were brandishing hockey sticks and rods, moving around a building. Left-controlled JNUSU and RSS-backed ABVP blamed each or for incident.
