Karnataka CM Yediyurappa wins trust vote; leaves Siddaramaiah & Congress red-faced
After a 6 hour long debate, CM BS Yediyurappa won the trust vote and defeated Congress' no-confidence motion by a voice vote in the Karnataka Assembly.

Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa has won trust vote and defeated Congress' -confidence motion in state assembly. After an aggressive debate that lasted for about 6 hours, -confidence motion moved by Congress against Yediyurappa's government was defeated by a voice vote at Vidhan Soudha.
On Thursday, Karnataka Assembly speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kri h revealed that Congress h, in fact, filed a -confidence motion against CM. While responding to it Yediyurappa said that he h ' objections against motion'. Opposition leer Siddaramaiah h levelled corruption charges against Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa alleging that re is 'rampant Corona corruption' in state government while filing motion in assembly.

Congress claims 'rampant Corona corruption' in Yediyurappa Govt
opposition leers proposed to move a -confidence motion against Karnataka CM in state assembly accusing him of corruption. senior leers from Congress-led opposition like former CM Siddaramaiah and MLA Ajay Singh alleged that Ministers and MLAs were losing ir lives due to 'rampant corruption' in Karnataka government while handling Coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking about -confidence motion, MLA Ajay Singh said, "re is rampant corruption in government, people are dying everywhere and every day. In last one week, we have lost one central minister, one Rajya Sabha MP and an MLA. In corona corruption case, re has been a corruption of almost Rs 2,000 crores and re are riots everywhere. People are dying, and re are corruption charges against Chief Minister. -confidence motion is about corruption charges in various areas, including his family and various departments also. We are waiting for Speaker to give us time to discuss this in detail in Assembly today."

Responding to proposal, BS Yediyurappa said, "I have objections to -confidence motion, let m do it. Every six months y must move -confidence motion once so that I can stay safe for next six months."

Congress leers h also demanded BS Yediyurappa's resignation due to corruption charges against him and his kin during a press conference in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Speaking about alleged corruption charges, Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala said, " stunning and stinging allegation of corruption against son, grandson, and son-in-law of BS Yediyurappa has shocked conscience of nation and state once again."
