Karnataka Health Minister slams Congress for allegedly backing SDPI, PFI over CAA violence
B Sriramalu on Friday alleged that the Congress extends its support to SDPI and PFI to disrupt peace following attack on a BJP follower during a pro-CAA rally

Karnataka Health Minister B Sriramalu on Friday alleged that Congress extends its support to Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and Popular Front of India (PFI) to disrupt peace in state. This comes after six SDPI supporters were arrested pertaining to an attack on a BJP-RSS follower during a pro-CAA rally in state in December.
'Congress tries to disrupt peace with help of SDPI and PFI'
Speaking to news ncy ANI, BJP leer claimed that Congress party completely supports SDPI and PFI. Srirmalu alleged that whenever party does t get power, y try to disrupt peace with help of SDPI and PFI. He stated that he will extend a proposition in Karnataka Assembly to ban se organisations in Karnataka.

Furrmore, he ded that when he was an MP, he h alrey demanded a ban on SDPI and PFI. Sriramalu also said that along with him, Shobha Karandlaje and BS Yediyurappa h met n Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi and given a memorandum to ban organisations.

A case has been registered against six SDPI supporters arrested under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPL). Bengaluru Police is also constituting a new Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe case.
Bengaluru Commissioner of Police, Bhaskar Rao on Friday said that re were six people belonging to SDPI who h come to carry out attacks on leers supporting CAA. Police Commissioner also ded that people arrested were being paid Rs 10,000 to create ruckus in city. Furrmore, Rao stated that case will w be handled by Anti-Terror Unit.

Besides B Sriramalu, Karnataka Minister Jagish Shettar h also called for a ban on SDPI on Friday. Speaking to ANI, Shettar alleged that SDPI has always been denying ir involvement but it has been proved w. He ded that SDPI should be banned because y have always h a hand in anti-social activities and Indian government should take te of this.

Kerala BJP Secretary Attacked By SDPI Workers
BJP secretary AK Nazeer, on Sunday, was attacked by Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) workers for attending a pro-CAA public meeting. leer was attacked while offering namaz outside a mosque in Kerala's Nedumkandam in Idukki district after he attended meeting, according to Kerala police.
Media sources report that leer was kicked and allegedly thrashed with furniture for over 15 minutes, before mosque's Imam intervened.
