Kerala Leer of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala on Saturday slammed Finance Minister Thomas Issac for leaking a Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report without tabling it in state Assembly. Chennithala accused  finance minister of committing a serious violation of rules and regulations by leaking report.

Earlier in day, Issac held a press conference and accused Centre and Opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) of trying to sabot developmental activities in state by using central ncies and CAG.

"re is an extraordinary incident where finance minister himself leaks a report, which was t even tabled in Assembly and held a press conference. This never happened in history of India. finance minister committed a serious violation of rules and regulations," Congress leer Chennithala said.

'He is trying to put pressure on CAG'

ding furr  minister said that  United Democratic Front (UDF) will give tice against Thomas Issac and Speaker must take action against him for violation. He furr went on to say that  finance minister is shaken by CAG's finding of corruption in Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB).

"This is a government that robs public of money. minister has insulted CAG," he said while ding that press conference was conducted by Issac to cover up corruption. He is trying to put pressure on CAG, Chennithala said.

While dressing press conference, finance minister alleged that CAG report is an attempt to claim that KIBFI loans are off-budget and anti-constitutional. Issac alleged that vested-interest parties are using CAG for destroying Kerala's developmental projects.

" Congress and BJP are engd in a big conspiracy against developmental activities in Kerala with support of central government," Issac claimed.

He ded that a writ petition filed in Kerala High Court by Jagran Manch leer Ranjith Karthik through vocate Maw Kuzhalnan is clear evidence of it. petition demands to anunce that borrowing money through KIFBI is anti-constitution, Issac said while ding that such writs were filed twice in 2019 and were withdrawn after primary hearings.

Furrmore, a third petition was filed in February in which central government, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), London stock exchange and CAG were impleed as parties in case, he said. "Let court decide its merit,"  he ded.

"We could see much evidence of BJP influencing constitutional bodies for ir own interests. Like Enforcement Directorate is trying to sabot life mission housing project, Torres IT park project,  K phone internet project, and e-mobility IT park project for manufacturing electric bus," Issac said.
