Kerala's Thomas Isaac accuses Central Probe agencies of undermining govt amid CAG row
Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac on Thursday, November 19 accused the central probe agencies of collectively trying to undermine the Kerala government.

Amid row over CAG's (Comptroller and Auditor General of India) report, Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac, on vember 19, accused central probe ncies of collectively trying to undermine Kerala government. Calling political move "shrewd", finance minister said state government will face all probe ncies with regards to CAG reports allegations.
"I am convinced that this is a part of a concerted move of central ncies like ED, CBI, NIA to undermine Kerala govt. This is a shrewd political move. We will face it", Isaac was quoted as saying by news ncy ANI.
On Saturday Isaac held a press conference, accusing BJP-led Centre and UDF of 'sabotaging' developmental activities in Kerala, and claimed that y were misusing central ncies and Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG).

"Vested-interest parties are using CAG for destroying Kerala's developmental projects. Congress and BJP are engd in a big conspiracy against developmental activities in Kerala with support of central government," he said.
leer has dismissed CAG's findings which suggest that Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) was raising loans "unconstitutionally."

Opposition demands Isaac's resignation over CAG report
Meanwhile, Congress and BJP have demanded a resignation from Isaac alleging that he h 'violated' constitution by disclosing report on Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) before Assembly.

"I have given a letter to Kerala speaker demanding action against violation by Finance Minister Thomas Isaac. We are demanding his immediate resignation. final report of CAG is sent to finance secretary who in a sealed cover sends it to goverr. Once approved by goverr, FM tables it in Assembly. This is process followed. But Kerala FM has subverted all this and has leaked CAG report by saying it's a draft. Finance Minister in country has done such a blatant violation," said Leer of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala.
Furrmore, BJP state president K Surendran has also slammed Isaac for leaking CAG audit report, alleging that he was trying to create a 'Centre-state divide.' "We urge chief minister to drop him from Cabinet. He's trying to create a Centre-state divide. He has to explain why he misled public?" asked Surendran.
