Khattar shocks and surprises everyone with his command over Tamil

The CM of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, in an interview to a Tamil channel, left everyone stunned by his impeccable command over the classical language Tamil.

The Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, in an interview to a Tamil channel, left everyone stunned by his impeccable command over the classical language Tamil. As per ANI’s report, Khattar gave answers in Tamil to the queries put up by a Thanthi TV journalist who asked him the questions in English. Khattar in his interview said, "Meendum thamarai malarum (lotus will bloom again)". Indicative of BJP’s symbol, Khattar, made the comment. 

Party member’s surprised 

A lot of his party members were left stunned and surprised watching Khattar speaking fluent Tamil and made assumptions that his knowledge of the language must have come from his initial days in RSS. During his days in RSS, Khattar travelled throughout the country to fulfil his responsibility as Sangh's pracharak. However, ANI sources informed claim that reality is different from this assumption. According to their source close to Khattar, the Chief Minister learned Tamil from an institute of South Indian language via correspondence.

Learnt Tamil in 1979 

According to ANI’s source, “He learned Tamil in 1979 from an institute through correspondence. And he became pracharak only in 1980. So, he did not learn it during his pracharak days while he lived in Tamil Nadu but had actually learned it before he became pracharak and was deployed in that particular region.” During the interview, Khattar also took the opportunity to ask for votes from the Tamil community living in Haryana. He said, "I would appeal to people of Haryana and Tamil Nadu that you must vote for democracy... It is our duty to vote."

Suggestion to include Khattar in TN poll campaign 

This isn't the first occasion when that Khattar's information of Tamil has turned out in open. In January this year, Khattar conveyed a discourse in Tamil, on the event of Pongal. Following which Tamil Nadu BJP unit was excited to a degree that recommendations to rope him for battling in Tamil Nadu began pouring in. In the wake of watching his order over Tamil, numerous online networking clients have again recommended that BJP should rope in Kattar for crusading in Tamil Nadu Assembly political decision in 2021.
