With preparations for Lok Sabha 2019 elections heating up, both West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and BJP have locked horns over latter's rally in state. BJP has t received a permission for its 42-day rath yatra in West Bengal.
With BJP rey to carry a rath yatra ahe of Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has called rally 'divisive' and has been accused by party of withholding permission. Yesterday at a public garing TMC chief said, "BJP does divisive politics. y are talking of Rath Yatra. se raths have all five-star luxuries. BJP are show-off. Earlier y used to seek votes in name of Ram, she said.
BJP says she has t responded to ir application to hold rally leing party deciding to approach courts. Following this, Dilip Ghosh has declared his party will kck doors of High Court if state does t give permission.

rally is of significance to party in power. Amit Shah will flag-off rally and PM Narendra Modi is expected to deliver a speech in Kolkata.
This is t first time that BJP claimed it faced issues when trying to hold a rally in TMC chief's state. In August 2018, controversy about BJP's rally in West Bengal h erupted, with party claiming it was denied permission and Kolkata police saying it never received an application.

Mamata Banerjee too will be holding a rally in January 2019 in order to bring toger all Opposition parties against BJP for Lok Sabha polls.
"In current political situation faced by nation, it is essential for all of us to strengn federal structure, democratic institutions, Constitutional proprieties and to maintain secular fabric of country. meeting assumes great importance for all opposition political parties to stand toger against BJP," she said.

leer has been quite for months about her move with regards to giving support for rally. Her position may become clearer after her meeting with Andhra Presh CM Chandrababu Naidu on December 19, 2018.
Naidu who h been in talks with leers for anti-BJP alliance h said that her support will be of importance as 'she is a strong leer'.
