MP Congress moves Supreme Court, accuses BJP of 'kidnapping MLAs' despite their denial
Amid the political crisis in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress Legislative Party on Tuesday has moved the Supreme Court accusing the BJP of kidnapping its MLAs.

Amid political crisis in Mhya Presh, Congress Legislative Party on Tuesday has moved to Supreme Court accusing BJP of kidnapping its 16 MLAs. Contricting Congress' claims of MLAs being kidnapped and being held hostage, rebel Congress leer Govind Singh Rajput assured that group of rebel legislators were in Bengaluru 'willingly'.
Earlier, on Monday, Mhya Presh Governor Lalji Tandon yet again wrote to Chief Minister Kamal Nath urging him to hold floor test on March 17, sources said. This came even as assembly Speaker journed session till March 26 citing coronavirus scare, earlier in day. Meanwhile, BJP moved Supreme Court against Speaker. plea was filed by party is Shivraj Singh Chouhan vs Speaker NP Prajapati and it urged top court to order a floor test to ensure a stable government in Mhya Presh.

Rebel MLAs contrict Congress' claims

"When Mhya Presh government was formed, we were re in opposition for 15 years. When government was formed Rahul Gandhi brought two faces in light--Scindia Ji and Kamal Nath Ji. Scindia Ji was not me CM, rar Kamal Nath Ji became CM of MP. We thought everything will continue to be normal, but CM's behaviour changed later," he said.
Congress refutes rebel MLAs' own account
After much-awaited floor test in Mhya Presh was cancelled and house was journed till March 26, state Law Minister PC Sharma on Tuesday lauded Speaker's move, claiming that BJP was holding rebel Congress MLAs 'captive'. He also reiterated demand that MLAs should be brought back to State for floor test, even as MLAs denied any such 'hostage' situation.

" press conference should be held in Bhopal if y are not afraid. y are being held captive by BJP re. Why was press conference held in Bengaluru and not Bhopal? We have written to Home Minister too. y should be brought back for floor test to be held," Sharma said.

He has since n been fielded by BJP for upcoming Rajya Sabha polls.
