state government has taken an overdraft of at least Rs 1,500 crore, Ghosh told a press conference.
"We heard that chief minister anunced a pack of Rs 6,500 crore. government is being run on borrowed money. From where will it get Rs 6,500 crore?" he said.
Banerjee said on Friday said state government is releasing Rs 6,250 crore for relief operations in areas affected by cyclone that claimed 98 lives in state.
"If state government does t have money, how chief minister is anuncing packs? Is it only meant for speaking to media?" Ghosh asked.
He alleged that chief minister anunced a pack though government is yet to collect information of devastation from affected districts.
On occasion of completion of Narendra Modi governments one year in its second phase, BJP leader said that nation is feeling safe and secure under prime minister.
Centre has taken steps to protect countrys borders and " terrorist activity has taken place except a few stray incidents", he said.
During lockdown, Ghosh said, prime minister has arranged free ration for people of country which was to be distributed by state governments.
