Former Union Minister & BJP MP Maneka Gandhi on Friday dismissed rumours that animals spread novel coronavirus & make it clear that animals cannot transmit it.

'This is completely wrong and misleing'
"It has been brought to my tice by hundred of complaints across government departments and insurance companies are creating panic regarding coronavirus by taking out visories which y have t confirmed with health department, saying that body should go near live animals. This is completely wrong and misleing," she said.

So, I would vise that ministry of electronics, insurance companies, ministry of railways, t to bring out fake s, saying that do t go near-live animals. This is going to create ar form of crisis in India," she ded.
Several people stopped consuming chicken and eggs following rumours that y will be infected with COVID-19. She said that issue will be raised in Parliament on Friday. World Health Organisation has also said, "re is evidence that companion animals or pets such as cats and dogs have been infected or could spre virus that causes COVID-19."

Centre suspends visas of all foreign nationals

On Wednesday, Centre suspended visas of all foreign nationals coming to country from Friday till 15 April. Kerala, Delhi and Haryana have declared disease an epidemic in ir states, with Delhi government also shutting down cinema atres, schools and colleges till 31 March.

Union Health Ministry on Thursday confirmed 75 COVID-19 cases so far in India. virus has infected over 80,000 people in China -- epicentre of disease -- and cases have been reported in over 100 or countries.
