Alleging that Modi-led BJP government was trying to 'turn farmers into slaves,' Rahul Gandhi posed two questions on bills asking why MSP was t guaranteed to farmers under m.
" Farmers under Modi government's anti-agriculture 'black law' - 1. How will y receive MSP if APMC /Kisan Market is finished off? 2. Why is MSP t guaranteed? Modi ji is turning farmers into 'slaves' of capitalists, which country will never allow," tweeted Rahul Gandhi.

Congress leers h alleged in past few days that Farm Bills would kill Minimum Support Price (MSP) system due to which farmers will cease to get minimum price for ir produce. Moreover, y alleged that sector will be dominated by Corporates, hurting interests of farmers.
However, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar defended Bills in Rajya Sabha and asserted that MSP mechanism will continue and will t be impacted by two legislations. Tomar during his Lok Sabha dress h also assured that se new legislations would t encroach upon Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) Acts of states.

Lok Sabha passes Farm Bills
On Thursday, Lok Sabha passed Farmers' Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020. two bills aimed at massive agricultural reforms were introduced on first day of ongoing monsoon session by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. With support of AIMK, YSRCP, TDP, BJD and or allies BJP-led coalition won voice vote passing all three bills - inspite of staunch ally Shiromani Akali Dal opposing bills with Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Bal resigning from Modi cabinet.
