A day after assuming office, Mhya Presh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan passed floor test in state Assembly on Tuesday by voice vote. member of opposition Congress was present in House. As special session of state Assembly began, Chouhan moved a one-line proposal to seek trust of House, which was endorsed by members through voice vote.

MP CM passes floor test

Senior BJP MLA Jagdish Devda, one of members of speaker's panel, was on chair of Speaker. After Chouhan passed floor test, House was journed till March 27. In morning, BJP issued whip to its MLAs to support trust vote. Earlier, Kamal Nath resigned as chief minister of state last week after his government lost majority following resignation of 22 Congress MLAs. Chouhan, 61, is back as Mhya Presh chief minister for a record fourth term.
