National Approval Ratings: BJP projected to win one-seat Chandigarh

With the Lok Sabha elections 2019 inching closer, Republic TV and CVoter are back to give a complete picture as to who will win if polls are held in December.

With the Lok Sabha elections 2019 inching closer, Republic and CVoter are back with the National Approval Ratings to give a complete picture as to who will win if polls are held today in the state of Chandigarh. It has 1 seat in its kitty and the numbers coming in are super interesting. 

PROJECTIONS: 

  • The situation in Chandigarh remains more or less unchanged with the BJP projected to clinch on its Chandigarh seat with the 6.3% higher vote share as compared to 2014
  • Looking at the performance of UPA,  we see that it has a marginally high vote share and when compared to the November 2018 number. UPA though failed to snatch the Chandigarh seat from NDA, has the highest gain of 6.5% vote share when compared to 2014
  • Seat Share:

UPA: 0 seats

NDA: 1 seat

Others: 1seat

  • Vote Share:

UPA: 33.3%

NDA: 48.5%

AAP: 9.5%

  • The NDA has gained big as it is projected to grab both the Lok Sabha 
  • The UPA, on the other hand, was unable to retain its single seat as projected in the National Approval Ratings of November and October

2018 has been a blockbuster year so far as far as the political landscape of India is concerned. With the countdown to the all-important 2019 Lok Sabha polls on, and with the results out for the critical assembly elections in five states, December may just be the most important month in terms of deciding who will come up trumps in the general elections.

The results of 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may not reflect the results or scenarios of the state assembly elections, nevertheless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented the National Approval Ratings.
