Ahead of the Assembly polls, which will be held in 2019, Republic TV, in association with CVoter, has come out with the third edition of the National Approval Ratings to bring forward the mood of the nation in the present time.
In the one-seat Lakshadweep, Congress looks set to take it away from NCP, with BJP not even in the fray. It is a case of one party's vote going to another, when in relation to the 2014 elections.
Comparison to 2014:
In 2014, NCP won the only seat with a vote share of 50.1 percent. But in the December edition of National Approval Ratings, they will lose their seat and their vote share will fall down to 33.5 percent.
Congress is the direct beneficiary of this, as they not only take the seat, but also see their vote share at 64.6 percent.
The BJP isn't any threat to either parties in the state, projected to win 1.5 percent.
Prediction in October and November:
In October, it was projected that Congress will take the one and only seat in Lakshadweep with a vote share of 46.6 percent. The trend also indicated a small pickup in the BJPs vote-share while the dominant players of INC and NCP continued their dominance.
The seat-share trend for Novemeber was same, but the only difference was in the vote share, with Congress projected to increase its vote share at the expense of NCP.
