With less than five months left for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Republic TV in association with CVoter came up with its December edition of the National Approval Ratings. With the results of assembly elections 2018 announced on December 11, Congress' win came as a major setback for the BJP-led NDA in the heartland state of Chhattisgarh.

With results of assembly elections 2018 anunced on December 11, Congress' win came as a major setback for BJP-led NDA in heartland state of Chhattisgarh, and approval ratings reveal a snapshot of what mood on ground is, ultimately answering question, who would win if elections were held in state today.
11 Lok Sabha seats are up for grabs in Chhattisgarh and here is scenario as per National Approval Ratings for December:
As per latest projections, BJP, which got 10 seats in 2014, is predicted to go down by 5 seats to settle at a 5 seat number.
Congress-led UPA, on or hand, is slated to make a rise from its 2014 win(1 seat) taking on 6 seats out of 11 seats. Ajit Jogi, meanwhile, is predicted to get 0 seats in 2019.

Comparing current numbers with earlier CVoter projections:
In vember edition of National Approval Ratings in Chhattisgarh which took place before assembly elections, NDA was predicted to gain 10 seats, while Congress-led UPA mand to get only 1 seat out of total 11 Lok Sabha seats. However, vote share projections predicted a different story. NDA was predicted to get 46.8% while UPA was projected to get 37.4 vote share in polls.
In October's edition, BJP was predicted to get 9 out of 11 seats, while Congress-led UPA settled at 2 seats. Similarly, vote share projections slated 48.2% votes to NDA and 39.1% to UPA in state.

2018 has been a blockbuster year so far as far as political landscape of India is concerned. With countdown to all-important 2019 Lok Sabha polls on, and with results out for critical assembly elections in five states, December may just be most important month in terms of deciding who will come up trumps in general elections.
