National Approval Ratings: In Meghalaya, NDA likely to acquire both Lok Sabha seats leaving UPA with zero

With the Lok Sabha elections 2019 inching closer, Republic and CVoter are back with the National Approval Ratings to give a complete picture as to who will win if polls are held today in the state of Meghalaya. The wonderland of vibrant culture, Meghalaya has a total of 10 seats in its kitty and the numbers coming in are super interesting. 

PROJECTIONS: 

  • The NDA has managed to win both seats in Meghalaya with an impressive increase of 11.4% in terms of vote share from 2014 with its ally the NPP taking both seats
  • The UPA has more to worry as they have not only lost their 2014 seat to the NDA but also their vote share has not seen an increase from 37.9% in 2014 to 2018.

UPA: 0 seats

NDA: 2 seats

Others: 2 seats

UPA: 37.9 %

NDA: 42.7%

Total: 19.4%

  • The NDA has gained big as it is projected to grab both the Lok Sabha 
  • The UPA, on the other hand, was unable to retain its single seat as projected in the National Approval Ratings of November and October

2018 has been a blockbuster year so far as far as the political landscape of India is concerned. With the countdown to the all-important 2019 Lok Sabha polls on, and with the results out for the critical assembly elections in five states, December may just be the most important month in terms of deciding who will come up trumps in the general elections.

The results of 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may not reflect the results or scenarios of the state assembly elections, nevertheless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented the National Approval Ratings.
