National Approval Ratings: In Odisha, huge gains projected for BJP as BJD falls back

In Odisha, where Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has always done well in assembly elections, it will be interesting to see how party will do in Lok Sabha.

UPA: 26.2 %
NDA: 33.2 %
BJD: 30.7 %

Prediction in December:

BJP was projected to win 15 seats, leaving BJD with just six and Congress with zero seats.

Prediction in October and vember:

In October edition of National Approval Ratings, BJD was projected to win six seats with a vote share of 31.6 per cent. BJP, which had won just one seat in 2014, was projected to win 13 seats with a vote share of 39.6 percent. Congress was predicted to win two seats with a vote share of 23.5 percent.

dynamics for Odisha did t change much in vember, with only seat exchanged. BJD remained on six seats, but increased its vote share to 33.3 percent. BJP lost one vote and Congress gained from it, leaving two parties with 12 and 3 seats respectively.
