Ahead of Assembly polls, which will be held in 2019, Republic TV, in association with CVoter, has come with National Approval Ratings to bring forward mood of nation in present time. Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is presently in power in centre, as well as 21 states, eir alone or through a coalition of NDA.
Odisha is arguably state to look out for in 2019, because predictions suggest an improbable shift in terms of seat-share.
In 2014, Naveen Patnaik's BJD were outright winners, managing 20 of 21 seats with a vote share of 44.1%. BJP-led NDA won or seat, with a 21.5% vote share. Congress, despite t winning a seat, made ir presence felt with 26.8% vote share.

But predictions indicate an astonishing result in state. BJD will be pushed down to a mere 6 seats, with a vote share of 31.6%. Most of thier loss will be taken up by BJP, who will make a remarkable jump upto 13 seats, and a 18% increase in vote share. Congress will man to win two seats, though, ir vote share will fall down to 23.5%.
- Massive story coming out of Odisha and it’s t looking good for Naveen Patnaik and BJD: Without any allies, teh BJP is set to take its tally of 1 seat from 2014 to 13 seat in 2018 which is a growth of 12 seats-- all while Naveen Patnaik is trying to flirt with both sides trying to weigh his options
- Odisha story is such that Naveen Patnaik who since has lost Jay Panda and is shaky about going with BJP is set to be biggest loser in his home territory. He’s going from 20 seats in 2014 to a THUD of 6 seats in 2018 which means a massive loss of 14 seats in this election.
( results of 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may t reflect results or scenarios of state assembly elections, neverless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented National Approval Ratings.)
