With Lok Sabha elections 2019 inching closer, Republic TV and CVoter have presented National Approval Ratings to give complete national picture as to who will win if polls are held in September 2018. re are 10 seats up for grabs in Haryana. While BJP is winning Haryana, it seems to be only be a scrape. BJP swept 7 out of 10 of m in 2014, and is pegged to get 6 out of 10 this time round. In tandem, Congress seems to be benefitting from anti-incumbency against Khattar by swinging 2 more seats in state than it did in 2014.
- In terms of voteshare, BJP is pegged to drop by 2.2% while INC is set to gain by 10.7% which may be serious anti incumbency being voiced against Khattar leadership despite BJP getting majority seats in Haryana
- While re is something to cheer about in terms of voteshare, fact of matter is that this is second worst performance of Congress in Haryana since 1977 barring 1996 when y got 2 seats. worst ever, unsurprisingly, came in 2014 when Congress got just 1 seat in state
- projections today indicate that, in Haryana, when it comes to choosing between Khattar Factor and Hooda-Vadra Factor, electorate is still leaning towards sitting CM Khattar. And wi1l this only become more prominent in upcoming months once election rhetoric picks?
