NCP leader and former Minister Ganesh Naik quits party to join the BJP
NCP senior party leader and former Minister Ganesh Naik is all set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections

President of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Shar Pawar, is soon to suffer a huge set back yet again as senior party leer and former Minister Ganesh Naik, is all set to join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahe of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections scheduled for later this year. Maharashtra assembly elections are likely to be held in September-October. Maharashtra BJP chief spokesperson Mhav Bhandari has also confirmed induction. Ganesh Naik will join BJP on September 11, in presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fnavis, as per sources.

Trouble rises for Shar Pawar
Bhandari informed that several or leers from opposition parties are also slated to join ruling party. He ded that BJP is party where leers can visualize ir future. "t only Ganesh Naik but several or leers are in touch with us. y will be joining BJP in near future. Everyone kws that BJP is party where every politician can see his future, so y are switching over to BJP," Bhandari said to ANI.

Naik, a former Cabinet Minister in Maharashtra government was speculated to join BJP ever since his son, Sandeep Naik, joined party in July this year. According to sources, Naik will be switching to BJP along with 50 cooperators of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. At least 20 opposition leers so far have left or parties to join BJP and Shivsena this year.

Earlier, in a huge blow to Shar Pawar, Avhut Tatkare, MLA of NCP h a meeting with Uddhav Thackeray, President of Shiv Sena. Avhut Tatkare who represents Shrivardhan assembly seat in Raig district of Maharashtra has been rumoured to join Shiv Sena. party is an ally of ruling party BJP in state and centre. Tatkare's uncle and NCP MP Sunil Tatkare is also rumoured to be joining Shiv Sena, although he h refuted rumours when questioned. Sachin Ahir, one of senior leers of NCP joined Shiv Sena in July. Ahir stated that he wanted to fulfil late Bal Thackeray's dream. He commented on how he would like to work with Uddhav Thackeray and his son, Aitya Thackeray, to furr develop state.
