NCP spokesperson, Nawab Malik hit out Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday; demanding that he should resign & renounce politics over filing a false affidavit

On Tuesday, NCP demanded that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fnavis must resign and reunce politics after Supreme Court set aside Bombay High Court order which gave Fnavis a clean chit in a case of suppression of criminal matters in 2014 poll affidavit. NCP chief spokesperson Nawab Malik also said that Fnavis has right to contest Maharashtra elections which are scheduled to be held on October 21.

He should resign immediately: Nawab Malik

Nawab Malik took to Twitter and said, " CM while contesting elections h tried to hide criminal cases. case went to court where he got a clean chit but Supreme Court has given a verdict today that hiding this information was wrong and this court case will move forward. We welcome this decision. This proves that chief minister sometimes doesn't obey rules. w, he has moral right left to remain in politics. He should resign immediately and reunce political life. Until a verdict comes from Supreme Court, he has right to contest  election."

NCP also retweeted video of Nawab Malik talking to media, saying "re is need for an inquiry, r will re be any inquiry in future. w a letter has been sent from ED to CM. Why was a false inquiry me before?"

Supreme Court to prounce verdict

Supreme Court is scheduled to prounce its verdict on Tuesday on a plea seeking prosecution of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fnavis under provisions of Representation of People (RP) Act for allegedly failing to furnish details of two pending criminal cases, in which trial court h taken tice, in his election affidavit. A bench heed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will prounce verdict on plea filed by Satish Ukey.
