As Opposition proposes moving a -confidence motion in Karnataka assembly, levelling corruption charges against Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, BJP leer exuded confidence in his government saying that he h ' objections' against move. "I have objections to -confidence motion, let m do it. Every six months y must move -confidence motion once so that I can stay safe for next six months," Yediyurappa said.

'Corona corruption case'

Congress-led opposition including senior leers like former CM Siddaramaiah and MLA Ajay Singh have alleged that re is 'rampant corruption' in Karnataka government, ding that ministers and MLAs were losing ir lives due to alleged corruption that took place while handing Coronavirus crisis. "re is rampant corruption in government, people are dying everywhere and every day. In last one week we have lost one central minister, one Rajya Sabha MP and an MLA. In corona corruption case, re has been a corruption of almost Rs 2,000 crores and re are riots everywhere. People are dying, and re are corruption charges against Chief Minister," said MLA Ajay Singh.

" -confidence motion is about corruption charges in various areas, including his family and various departments also. We are waiting for Speaker to give us time to discuss this in detail in Assembly today," Singh ded.

Meanwhile, Janata Dal (Secular) leer HD Kumaraswamy revealed that Congress h t approached m to extend support to -confidence motion. "Congress have t approached or consulted us about -confidence motion. manner in which y are behaving shows y don't want our support, I don't kw how y will succeed," Kumaraswamy told news ncy ANI.

Karnataka to expand Cabinet?

Meanwhile, CM BS Yediyurappa on Saturday met Vice President Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi to discuss his plans for cabinet expansion in Karnataka ahe of state assembly session. Chief Minister also put forth his state demands in front of Vice President. His meet with VP was held just before he left for Bengaluru after visiting National Capital for two days. On Friday, Chief Minister also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss about same.

"I have put forth my state demands and informed him about my plans for cabinet expansion, which are likely to take place before Karnataka monsoon session",  Yediyurappa said.
