While People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) won highest number of seats in recently concluded DDC polls, NC Vice-President Omar Abdullah, on Saturday, alleged that Jammu-Kashmir ministration was indulging in 'horse-tring' of candidates. Abdullah alleged that officials have put NC leers were put under 'preventive arrest' and coerced m to join Apni party - terming it BJP's B-Team. 8-phase DDC polls' result was anunced on Wednesday, where BJP emerged as single-largest party - winning 75 seats.

Omar: 'NC leers coerced to join Apni party'
"Today PM said DDC election is a win for democracy. If truly democracy has won, n next step should also be taken democratically, but unfortunately, it's t happening. Officials have started arrests, intimidation after election. objective is to change PAGD chairman and make it to that of or party," he said at an NC press conference in party hequarters in Srinagar.
He ded, "Two leers have been taken in preventive detention. Leers are being brought and me to join Apni Party forcefully. This includes Congress, PDD, NCP elected representatives. We have a phone recording (Bror-in-law of DDC female candidate who was coerced to join Apni Party) from which it is clear ministration is detaining people and y are released on promise to join Apni Party".

Demanding J&K ministration to t interfere in elections, he said, "This is t democracy. PAGD has got most seats, why are BJP and Apni Party t able to accept it? We want to tell both Jammu and Kashmir ministration t to interfere. I want release of my two senior party members."
Gupkar alliance wins maximum seats
results for J&K DDC elections awarded PAGD 110 seats - with its constituents - NC, PDP, JKPC, CPI(M) and JKPM bagging 67, 27, 8, 5, and three seats respectively. After winning 26 seats in DDC election, Congress too has decided to support opposition alliance. On or hand, BJP too me inros in Union Territory by becoming single-largest party with 75 seats. However, newly formed Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) could t make a substantive impact gaining only 12 seats. Independents too me a major dent with 50 seats. J&K ministration held J&K's first-ever District Development Council polls in eight phases from vember 28 to December 19, with a voter turut of 51.42%.
