Comparing Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare's brave sacrifice to win back Sinhag to fallout, Rawal alluded that BJP inspite of winning mandate h lost ally Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena is currently strategizing how to stake a claim, weighing an alliance with NCP-Congress. Shiv Sena's sole Union Minister Arvind Sawant too has resigned from his cabinet post in Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises on Monday, in protest.

Kondhana fort which was surrendered by Shivaji Maharaj in 1665 by signing Treaty of Purandar, was strategically placed and a main asset to Marathas. On Shivaji Maharaj's command, Tanaji Malusare was entrusted with mission to recapture fort at any cost. Defeating Rajput Udaybhan Rathod, Malusare and his troop of 1000 mavals laid attacked fort. While Marathas won fort, Malusare laid down his life in battle. fort was n renamed Sinhag after Tanaji's sacrifice.

Current Maha Assembly numbers
saffron alliance swept Maharashtra on October 24, winning a combined tally of 161 (BJP- 105, Sena -56), but is yet to put its majority to use. Meanwhile, 'Maha- Aghi' alliance (NCP-Congress) bagged 98 seats in total. halfway mark is 145.
