'PM Modi appreciated positive campaign by media against COVID-19,' says Pralhad Joshi

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday spoke about the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting which was called to discuss the work done by Health Ministry on COVID-19

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralh Joshi on Tuesday dressed media and spoke about matters discussed in  BJP Parliamentary Party meeting. Minister also informed about Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciating  role played by print and electronic media in spreing awareness about Coronavirus. 

"In BJP's parliamentary meeting that was held today, Dr Harsh Vardhan informed MPs about steps taken by Centre and State government to stop spre of virus. PM Modi appreciated efforts of doctors, nurses and those working at seaports and airports. He also appreciated role of electronic and print media for its role in spreing awareness about COVID-19.  Prime Minister also appealed members to spre awareness about precautions against Coronavirus in ir respective regions," Parliamentary Affairs Minister said.

Coronavirus in India

According to latest figures available on Tuesday,  total number of positive cases of Coronavirus in India has soared up to 126 as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Three deaths have been reported in Kalaburagi, Maharashtra, and West Delhi respectively. India has suspended all visas, barring for a few categories such as diplomatic and employment apart from keeping in abeyance visa-free travel facility to OCI cardholders till April 15.

Moreover, Centre has “strongly vised” Indians to avoid all n-essential travel abro. government is also monitoring all suspected cases and has issued preventive visories.

Taking into consideration rising number of Coronavirus cases, Central Government on March 14 decided to treat dely virus as a "tified disaster." government has also decided to go into a partial lockdown as it ordered shut down of all educational institutions, places of social garings like swimming pools, spas, gyms, museums, and cultural centres.
