According to Prime Minister's Officer (PMO), PM Narendra Modi will reply to debate on Motion of Thanks on President Ram Nath Kovind's dress in Rajya Sabha or Upper House of Parliament on Monday at around 10:30 am after Question Hour. This anuncement comes as a departure from regular rmal because Prime Ministers usually speaks in both Houses of Parliament. However, this time with Opposition parties refusing to end protests in Lok Sabha, PM Modi's dresses could take place in Rajya Sabha only.

PM expected to reply to President's dress today
So far first 6 sittings of Rajya Sabha during ongoing budget session have proved to be very productive. As per official statement, House has recorded productivity of 82.10 per cent. During se 6 sittings, Rajya Sabha h witnessed a 15-hour debate on Motion of Thanks on President's dress. According to sources, ongoing protests by farmers against Centre's 3 contentious farm bills have dominated nda of Parliament in first week and both Houses witnessed multiple disruptions over issue.

According to official statement, against total scheduled sitting time of 20 hours and 34 minutes, 4 hours 14 minutes were lost on February 3, due to disruption. members, however, sat for extra 33 minutes beyond business hours on Friday. Earlier on Wednesday, day 4 of session, Centre and Opposition arrived at a consensus to allocate 15 hours to discussion in Rajya Sabha on topic of farm laws.
Besides discussing farm laws, Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2021, seeking to replace Ordinance in this regard, was also introduced during week. During first week of budget, House saw 8 Zero Hour and 7 special mentions me during first week.

Currently, budget session is being held in two segments and first part will conclude on February 13.
