'PoK will be our next agenda', says Union Minister Jitendra Singh

The Union Minister of State for PMO Jitendra Singh has said that the govt’s next agenda will be making Pakistan-occupied Kashmir an integral part of India.

The Union Minister of State for the Development of North Eastern Region and Minister of State for Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh has said that the government’s next agenda will be making Pakistan-occupied Kashmir an integral part of India. He has also called the abrogation of Article 370 the biggest achievement during the 100 days of the Modi government in their second term. He added that world view is aligned with India and Pakistan’s vicious campaigns cannot affect India. The Union Minister also reiterated that all the Indian political parties have a similar stand on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. 

PoK is an integral part of India 

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said while abrogation of Article 370 is a big achievement for the Modi government "our next agenda" will be making Pakistan-occupied Kashmir an integral part of India. He also said that "It is not only my or my party's commitment but a stand of the unanimous resolution passed by Parliament in 1994 by the then Congress government, headed by PV Narsimha Rao. This is an accepted position." What is being said in Pakistan by some leaders is being closely followed by the MEA. Their remarks do not carry any weight”.

Article 370 abrogation - big achievement

Speaking about other country’s position on India’s move to abrogate Article 370, he said, "Some of those countries, which were not agreeing to India's viewpoint, now follow our viewpoint".

He also recounted the achievements of the Modi government’s 100 days.

He also said that the abrogation of article 370 needed a tremendous amount of will power, dedication and determination. He added, “had (Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad) Mookerjee been alive, he would have declared to go and tell the world that Modi and Amit Shah have abrogated Article 370. BJP’s official twitter handle also highlighted their achievement on the completion of 100 days of success.
