Poster war in Patna: AAP takes a dig at Nitish Kumar, BJP calls Oppn 'Thugs of India'
Bihar witnessed a poster war a day ahead of the 17 Opposition parties' grand meeting in Patna to discuss the roadmap for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Bihar is witnessing a poster war ahe of 17 opposition parties' grand meeting in Patna, which has been called to discuss romap for 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Things heated up after Aam Ami Party's (AAP) Bihar unit put up posters showing state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar holding hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and showcased party chief Arvind Kejriwal as a prime ministerial candidate for 2024 elections.
"re is neir expectation, nor trust. citizens of India should be alert. This is Nitish Kumar, a close aide of PM Modi," poster put up by AAP in Patna re.

BJP was quick to hit back with a new poster which called opposition leers ' Thugs of India'. It h pictures of opposition leers including Nitish Kumar, Tejashvi Yav, Rahul Gandhi, Uddhav Thackeray, Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, and MK Stalin. A line on poster said, " grand meeting of parties engrossed in dynasty politics and corruption."
Bihar's former deputy chief minister and BJP leer Sushil Modi said that opposition leers would fall on ir faces as y were getting united only against BJP and not for betterment or development of country.

"Three to four Opposition leers want to become PM and no one cares about India. Nitish Kumar has failed in Bihar and he will fail again to unite Opposition. Nothing will come out of this meeting as this is' Chai Bhoj ' and ' Litti Chokha ' meet. Let m enjoy Bihar food. Some have fallen deeply into pits of Parivarva and some into pits of corruption," Sushil Modi told Republic.
Agenda of opposition parties' meeting on June 23
Sources in Left parties told Republic that it was important for all opposition parties to reach a consensus in order to take on BJP. "re are some issues amongst a few opposition parties. parties should meet and find a solution as y have same goal, which is, to defeat BJP. No consensus has yet been reached on issues like Delhi Ordinance and Common Minimum Programme, and refore, first agenda has to be to clear issues within," y said.

A Left leer told Republic that bringing opposing parties toger was very difficult. "It is difficult to bring TMC and CPI(M) toger. Similarly, re are issues between Samajwi Party and Congress. With recent development on Ordinance row, AAP too is upset with Congress. It is also difficult to unite regional parties in sourn part of India. YSRCP and BRS are also not with us whereas Naveen Patnaik's BJD has failed to convey its stand despite having an understanding with Nitish Kumar," leer said.

A senior NCP leer informed Republic that main motive of party will be to set a common agenda for opposition. "Many leers are aspiring to become prime ministerial face of opposition but decision will be me on basis of all votes of participating parties."
"We have told ors that if a joint opposition candidate will be pitched, n Congress must get say in almost 350 seats because it is old and major opposition party against BJP and no one can deny that. But we are open to what ors have to say on it. But first priority is to fight toger. seat is secondary. It's opposition vs BJP," he said.
