'Walk the talk': Punjab CM dares SAD to pull-out of the BJP alliance at the Centre
Punjab CM Amarinder Singh hit out at the party and dared SAD to quit its alliances with the ruling BJP at the Centre over its supposed CAA differences

Soon after Shiromani Akali Dal (S) anunced its decision to t contest Delhi elections in alliance with BJP owing to differences over Citizenship Amendment Act, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh hit out at party and dared S to quit its alliance with ruling BJP at Centre. Punjab CM, on Tuesday, slammed S for ir hypocrisy and stated that if y are really against 'divisive' and 'destructive' amended Citizenship Act, y should walk talk and pull-out of NDA alliance at Centre.
'Why do you support CAA in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha?'
Amarinder Singh also questioned S's support to bill when it was introduced in both houses of Parliament.

"If you found CAA to be anti-Muslim, why did you support and pass legislation in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha?," ANI quoted Punjab CM as he questioned S.

Singh also ded that S's decision to t contest polls along with BJP in Delhi after Haryana due to ir supposed differences over CAA was unacceptable. Punjab CM attributed S's decision to be politically motivated as party realised that it could t win even a single seat in Delhi without ground support.
''Manjinder Singh Sirsa's claim that party h been under pressure to review its stand on CAA was ludicrous, to say least, considering discordant tes Akalis h been striking on issue for past several days," Singh remarked.

'S is strongly against NRC'
dressing a press conference earlier on Monday, S leer Manjinder Singh Sirsa h said during three poll-related meetings with BJP, his party was asked to consider its stand on CAA. "During our meeting with BJP, we were asked to reconsider our stand on CAA but we declined to do so.''

Shiromani Akali Dal is of firm stand that Muslims cant be left out of CAA. Sirsa though a S leer h contested 2017-bypoll election from Rajouri Garden seat on a BJP ticket and he h won it. He said his party is also “strongly” against National Register of Citizens (NRC).
