Rafale deal controversy: Big embarrassment for Rahul Gandhi; Here's how the papers contradict his claims

Congress' Rafale lie has been completely exposed, Republic TV has accessed documents that show how NDA finalised deal at a lower bid than UPA. re was a bitter war in parliament where Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi attacked NDA government of misleing country on deal, however critical Rafale papers accessed show for first time that NDA government obtained better jets at much cheaper prices and Congress and Rahul Gandhi now stand completely exposed.

Rahul Gandhi while hitting out at NDA government said,"Under UPA regime, Rafale aircraft was pegged at 520 crores. I don't know what happened or who was spoken to, but PM went to France- who he went with everyone knows. And magically price of aircraft went up to Rs 1600 crore. Defence Minister is seated here- she first said that I will inform price of aircraft- she said this in public. 

"After that, Defence Minister clearly said that I can't give details because French govt and Indian govt has a secrecy pact. I myself met French President, and I myself asked him- is re any pact between 2 governments and French President said that re is no such pact between governments. Under pressure from Prime Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman has lied to nation", he furr said.

dressing a press conference, Congress leer, and former Defence Minister A. K. Antony h said that he h revealed prices of many defence contracts in Parliament because under constitution, government cannot deny revealing prices as y are scrutinised at various levels.

He also stated that Rafale aircraft was selected after considering many companies in December 2012 and that price for each aircraft was settled, ding that a tender for 126 Rafale aircraft was issued.

"re is no transfer of technology in this new deal, so it doesn't substantiate rise in price of aircrafts," said Anthony.

"When re is no secret deal that prevents revealing prices, how can y keep it a secret?" Antony ded.
