Amid reports of internal tussle within Maha Aghi over recent cabinet expansion, a sensational development has taken place in Maharashtra's Palghar. Reportedly, BJP workers in Palghar has put a banner with picture of MNS leer Raj Thackeray alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former chief minister Devendra Fnavis, and or local leers. banner has reportedly been put as a part of campaign for upcoming Zilla Parish polls in Palghar and suggests that BJP can ally with Raj Thackeray's MNS in local body elections. 

This comes after fallout of Shiv Sena and BJP. As per sources, BJP leer Ashish Shelar h met Raj Thackeray after its fallout with Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena. Earlier on Saturday, sources reported that Raj is expected to opt Sena's Hindutva ideology on January 23 with Sena going soft Hindutva, after allying with Congress and NCP. However, back in December, MNS leer h spoken against BJP-led Central government's Citizenship Amendment Act. He h said that it is an attempt to distract attention from ecomic crisis in country.

Maharashtra Cabinet Expansion

On December 31, during cabinet expansion oath ceremony, NCP's Ajit Pawar once again took oath as Deputy CM after his three-day stint in vember with short-lived Devendra Fnavis-led BJP government. Shiv Sena's 13 ministers (10 - cabinet, 3 - MoS), NCP's 13 ministers (10 - cabinet, 3 - MoS) and Congress's 10 ministers (8 - cabinet, 2 - MoS) took oath on Monday at 12 pm in Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha. 

On Sunday, Maharashtra Goverr Bhagat Singh Koshyari approved allocation of portfolios in State cabinet. Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Planning has been allocated to Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, while Home Ministry has been allocated to NCP's Anil Deshmukh and Urban Development Ministry has been allocated to Shiv Sena leer Eknath Shinde. Maharashtra Congress chief Balasaheb Thorat has been allocated Revenue Ministry and Aitya Thackeray has been given portfolio of Environment, Tourism and Protocol. tably, Shar Pawar-led NCP has got most of 'plum portfolios' which includes Finance, Home, Irrigation, etc.

Almost a month after elections, president's rule was imposed after party could prove a majority. BJP-Sena which fell out squabbling over a 50-50 power-sharing and shared CM post bagged 161 seats (BJP- 105, Shiv Sena-56). Meanwhile, Maha Aghi won 98 seats (NCP -54, Congress) and chose to ally with Shiv Sena, forming Maha Vikas Aghi. This was preceded by 4-day CM stint by Fnavis, which fell after Ajit Pawar rescinded his support after Supreme Court ordered an open ballot floor test in Maharashtra Assembly immediately. However, both Pawar and Fnais resigned and Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as chief minister of Maharashtra on vember 28 along with six ministers — two each from alliance partners Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress.
