Union Information Techlogy Minister Ravi Shankar Pras lashed out at former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday for latter's criticism of Aarogya Setu app. Dismissing Gandhi's claim that app h "institutional oversight", Pras asserted that Aarogya Setu h a "robust data security architecture". Moreover, he took a dig at Congress party for allegedly indulging in surveillance during its tenure at Centre. Maintaining that app h t been outsourced to any private operator, he highlighted that it was useful for protection of people. Taunting Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister asked him to refrain from "outsourcing" his tweets to persons having limited kwledge of India.

What is Aarogya Setu app?
Originally introduced in early April, contact tracing app has seen over 50 million downlos alrey. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and or Union Ministers have repeatedly encourd us of Aarogya Setu. Basically, app compiles user location and Bluetooth data to help individual user and government trace potential COVID-19 cases. Some experts have raised concerns over app needing far more data than necessary and use of GPS-based location data. However, NITI Aayog has defended app and clarified that location data was being used on an aggregated basis.
