SAD to CM Amarinder: Declare Punjab as Principal Market Yard so Farm Bills don't apply

SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal called upon CM Captain Amarinder Singh to declare Punjab as a principal market yard so that the Farm Bills do not apply.

S president Sukhbir Singh Bal called upon Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh to declare entire state as a principal market yard so that Farm Bills do t apply to Punjab. He furr asked  Punjab CM to calls a cabinet meeting immediately and also asked government to hold a State assembly session to approve ordinance. Sukhbir Singh Bal me statement while dressing a protest march against recently passed Farm Bills. 

"I moved this proposal two days back. Punjab govt should move quickly on this to save our farming community inste of shedding crocodile tears on farmers' issues. CM is guilty of amending State APMC Act as per his party’s poll manifesto & ratifying private mandis, contract farming & e-tring," said S president. 

Sukhbir Singh Bal protests against Farm Bills 

S president participated in a protest in Lambi vill of Muktsar on Friday and also led a tractor rally from Bal vill against Farm Bills that were passed in Parliament recently. Ar protest was held by Shiromani Akali Dal to oppose Farm Bills on Friday. Harsimrat Kaur Bal who quit Modi cabinet recently also urged CM Capt Amarinder Singh to resign in a tweet while claiming that he 'backstabbed' farmers. On September 24, she also said that she will be joining farmers in ir protest against Farm Bills while calling it 'Kala kaon'.

Punjab Farmers protest against Farm Bills

Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee extended  'rail roko' agitation till September 29 to oppose agriculture reform bills along with 'Bharat Bandh'. Due to protests, 13 pairs of trains were short terminated and train routes to Punjab are being avoided as a precautionary measure. Several farm unions and political parties across nation participated in 'Bharat Bandh' on Friday. protests against Farm Bills are currently being led by farmers of Punjab and Haryana but farmers from or states like Tamil Nu, Karnataka, UP, Bihar, Odisha and several or states will be joining m in bandh.
