As political crisis unfolds in state of Karnataka, Congress members in Lok Sabha on Monday July 8 raised posters of 'save democracy'. state slipped into a political turmoil after a total of 22 MLAs resigned and JD(S) - Congress coalition under threat of falling. Congress leader in state and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, at or side is trying hard to keep flock toger and issuing statement that can act as an assu to condition of Congress party in state. - Addressing media after meeting Congress party members and ministers on Monday July 8, Siddaramaiah said that ministers have resigned and coalition will accommodate rebel MLAs and rule of JD(S) Congress will continue in state. former CM said: " people of Karnataka has t given mandate to BJP, a fractured verdict was given. Under circumstances people have given to Congress and JD(S) mandate, BSP also supported us. We are 120 members in assembly y cant form govt. Today we met all ministers to discuss political developments in Karnataka. ministers voluntarily resigned from ir ministership to make way for ors to be accommodate. w parties will reshuffle govt. Those who were t given berth in cabinet w we re going to accommodate m. Reshuffle means total reshuffle. All new ministers will come, some MLAs who are unhappy y will be accommodated."
- Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy said that issue will be resolved and that government will run smoothly.
- Congress ministers including Deputy CM G Parameshwara tendered ir resignations to Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chief Dinesh Gundu Rao earlier in day. Karnataka Minister and Independent MLA Nsh also resigned from his minister post. In his resignation letter said , "I would extend my support to government of BJP if called for by your good self."
