Congress leer Shatrughan Sinha on Wednesday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi that would it be wise to "divert/spend so much and concentrate" on Ram Mandir amid Coronavirus pandemic. rebel BJP leer also said that government needs to "think and talk" if it's right time to go for "campaigning, spend money and energy" for elections, especially in Bihar.

veteran actor turned politician said that since he himself, is a "Ramayana Vasi", he would t dare say anything against construction of  Ram Temple since nation has prayed for it. But he ded that some may say it's like "eyewash to divert attention from hardcore realities of life, especially at this juncture.

He said that from Amarnath Yatra, Vaish Devi darshan to Tirupati and all best shrines and temples are reworking and reconsidering on whole issue in wake of this corona pandemic and its impact in national interest.

'Elections, campaigning etc could be put on hold'

"We need to w focus our energy entirely on pandemic and all rest like elections, campaigning etc could be put on hold, till such time as things smoon out and people are more comfortable to participate and appreciate without any fear and could venture out to exercise ir voting rights," former MP vised government in a series of tweets.

"Heavens won't fall if we postponed whole thing and focused on grim realities of life with remedial measures. In meantime, it has been anunced that Amarnath Yatra has been cancelled this year. Jai Shree Ram! Jai Hind!," Sinha ded. leer also tagged around two dozen politicians along with PM Modi in his tweets.

Sinha joins list of politicians like NCP chief Shar Pawar and Congress MP Digvijaya Singh who have questioned governments move to start construction of Ram Temple next month.
