Shatrughan Sinha has backed Sharad Pawar and questioned the ED (Enforcement Directorate) in a series of tweets about the FIR against the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar. In his tweets, the actor turned politician has questioned the PM if he is aware of the development. He also questioned the timing of the FIR.

In his tweets, Shatrughan also alleged that the ED is giving credence to the belief that investigative agencies are being sent after esteemed leaders of the country. He also alleged that the entire case was a build-up to tarnish the image of a veteran leader like Sharad Pawar, whom he called the tallest Maratha leader.
Shatrughan Sinha praises PM Modi
A few days ago, Shatrughan Sinha had praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and congratulated him on the sidelines of the ‘Howdy Modi’ grand event that took place on Sunday. He also said that the event was a testimony of the bond between the United States President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The case against Sharad Pawar
The Enforcement Directorate filed a case against the NCP leader Sharad Pawar in a Rs 5,000 crore, Maharashtra Co-operative bank scam case. The complaint alleges that banking laws and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines were violated when loans were distributed to sugar factories and spinning mills in Maharashtra that had weak financial profiles.

Sharad Pawar to visit the ED on September 27
Following the case, Sharad Pawar addressed a press conference and said he will visit the ED on September 27 in connection to the case. “I will go to the Enforcement Directorate on September 27 at 2 pm and make myself available to the agency for whatever investigation they want to conduct.” He also said that due to the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls he will be visiting various districts of the state and this should not be taken as unavailability by the agency.
