Shiv Sena makes big allegation over BJP's 'Will form Maha Govt' statement

The Shiv Sena alleged that BJP now showing the confidence of forming Govt in Maharashtra after backing off, makes its intention of horse-trading evident

Shiv Sena alleged on Saturday that BJP w exuding confidence of forming government in Maharashtra after backing off initially, makes its intention of horse-tring under guise of President's rule evident. In its mouthpiece Saamana, Sena also hit out at former chief minister Devendra Fnavis over his remark that Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance won't last beyond six months, saying new political equation was giving "stomach ache to several people".

'How come are y w claiming that only y will form government?'

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil h on Friday said that y will soon form government in state, claiming that his party can count on support of 119 MLAs in 288-member Assembly. "Those with 105 seats h earlier conveyed to goverr that y do t have majority. How come are y w claiming that only y will form government?" Sena said in Saamana. "... intention of horse-tring stand exposed w. lies of those promising transparent governance are becoming evident w," it said, ding that "unethical" ways do t suit trition of state.

Maharashtra has been under President's rule since Tuesday after party or alliance staked claim to form government or conveyed support of an equate number of MLAs to Goverr Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Sena reached out to Congress-NCP combine for government formation after its demand for sharing chief minister's post and equal distribution of portfolios was rejected by BJP, its pre-poll ally.

BJP and Sena, which fought October 21 polls in alliance, secured a comfortable majority by winning 105 and 56 seats, respectively, in 288-member assembly. Congress and NCP, pre-poll allies, won 44 and 54 seats, respectively.  Referring to Union minister Nitin Gkari's Friday comment in which he alluded to cricket, Shiv Sena said, "Gkari is t related to cricket. He is related to cement, ethal, asphalt and or things."

On Friday, Union Minister of Ro Transport and Highways h likened politics with cricket, saying "anything" could happen in both fields as those who appear to be losing match might actually win game. Shiv Sena said that cricket has become more of a business than a game w. re is "horse-tring and fixing" in cricket too, it alleged. "Hence, suspicion is always re wher it is game that wins or fixing (in cricket). Hence, Gkari likening Maharashtra politics to romantic game of cricket is apt," it said.
