Karti Chidambaram, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel
Earlier on September 18, Chidambaram's son Karti, senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel also went to Tihar Jail to meet him. After meeting his father at Tihar, Karti spoke to the media and said that the former Union Minister is a "strong man" and is in "very good spirits". He also said that Chidambaram is 'observing what is happening in the country'. "He is a very strong man, one who is being investigated but one should realise there is no case and trial, no charge sheet as yet. He is being subjected to a condition that perhaps one gets after verdict in a trial. This is not even a trial, it is pre-trial and this is only the investigation stage," Karti Chidambaram said, as reported by news agency ANI.

CBI to file charge sheet against Chidambaram
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is all set to file the charge sheet in the INX media case. Top sources within the agency have indicated that in all likelihood the agency will file the charge sheet in the coming one week. This would only mean more trouble for former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram who was in the CBI custody for 15 days. “Sanction for prosecution is expected in the next few days. Paperwork has already started,” said a CBI source. While in custody, P Chidambaram was asked around 450 questions. According to sources, he was questioned for more than 90 hours mostly related to FIPB clearances and mail exchanges of Karti Chidambaram with other co-accused.
