'Soon, farmers across India will protest against agriculture bills': Bhupesh Baghel

Not just Punjab and Haryana, farmers all over the country will hold demonstrations against the agriculture reform bills, said Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.

Farmers across nation will soon take to streets to protest against agriculture reform bills, said Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel. He furr ded that farm bill passed in Lok Sabha will only encour private markets and will give control to multinational companies. Bhupesh Baghel also informed that Farmers' Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion And Facilitation) Bill 2020 and Farmers (Empowerment And Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill 2020 has reduced grain stor limit and given way to contract farming while reversing steps taken by leers in past in favour of farmers. 

"Presently, farmers in Punjab and Haryana are staging protests on streets. Soon, farmers from all over country will hold demonstrations on streets. With implementation of se bills, Centre is encouraging private markets to come forward. y have removed grain stor limit and have introduced contract farming. In dition, reformation will also allow multinational companies to work in sector, giving m control," said CM Bhupesh Baghel.

Shiromani Akali Dal leer Harsimrat Kaur Bal tendered her resignation from Union Cabinet to protest against 3 agriculture reform bills stating y are against vision and legacy of S as well as ir commitment to farmers and ir needs. Harsimrat Kaur Bal's resignation was accepted by President of India. Chief of BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) Mayawati also took to Twitter on Friday to express her disapproval against two Agriculture reform bills passed by Lok Sabha while pointing out that ordinance aimed at agricultural reforms was passed without clarifying doubts of farmers. Mayawati also suggested that Centre should focus on farmers of country and what y want.

Agriculture Bill in Lok Sabha

In a debate in Lok Sabha, Union Agriculture Minister claimed that legislation will put an end to 'licence raj', making  farmers free to sell ir produce as per ir choice. Several parties including Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal along with BSP opposed Farmers' Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion And Facilitation) Bill 2020 and Farmers (Empowerment And Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill 2020. agriculture ordinances were passed by Lok Sabha on Thursday while Agriculture Minister attempted to ease strong opposition of bill and said, "Both se acts will empower agricultural ecomy."
